The Gregarious Autowala!

Hey,

The rainiest day in Chennai...and the possibility of any normal event happening to me..!! Both are quite ironical I say...
Today I landed up with one of a kind gregarious autowala…who wanted to know all the nuances of a software engineer’s life! He presumed I was a techie myself……knowing I was gonna halt at one of the most sought after techie companies in the wangoland as they call it fondly here...:)

After the initial haggling, I jumped in. Not only was he charging any less, to top my iritation, this man had actually the nerve to strike up a conversation! However, though I started off most disconcertedly, I guess the chain of wierd events in my life never ends...and hence, our conversation was very interesting.

Half Bengali, one quarter English, and rest in tuta phuta Hindi and Tamil!! He asked weird questions, like whether I am a rajnikanth’s fan, in how many languages have sivaji been released, I asked him what's the Tamil for an apple??!! Now that was a tricky one! :) …He asked me what are the big IT companies apart from Wipro and Satyam?? And I helped him mug up the names IBM and TCS and Infosys!! Then he advised me to take a bike as transport is very expensive in Chennai. And he advised me to go for which color bikes and why…???! Things just went hilarious when he asked me do I eat breakfast or not?? I answered No. and he sed, that’s why I am not yet fat, or else Tamilians are so fat, and they don’t look nice.: I was like, o…k…!!!! then he asked me whether we wear saris in office and elsewhere, and he was very surprised when I sed yes!! He seemed very happy with that answer for some reason… and it kept going on & on & on…..

I had a co passenger who was laughing all the way...
Anyway, we sed bye and all, and he also sed , good day!! Man! If he is trying to impress me, I am so floored! :P
Good fun it was but….
I tell u not a single day in Chennai has Not been an event for me!!

:) More later!
